Published in the Chesterfield Living

I was honored to be interviewed by Don Kappel of Chesterfield Living Magazine a little over a month ago. The article came out in the May/June addition last weekend.

The photo is from Nags Head last summer. Sorry about the grimace on my face.  It always feels a little funny to read about myself, or to offer for you to read it... but in case you are curious, here is the link to reading the magazine online: http://issuu.com/cherylaci/docs/chesterfieldliving_mayjune2014

Art Work's "Let's Dance" Opening 2/28/14 & a feature on local TV

Jessie Boyland of Art Works in downtown Manchester put together what will I'm sure be a very fun and fabulous exhibit called "Let's Dance". It was a collaborative effort between dancers and visual artists. It's all free 7-10pm with a performance, food, etc.

Below is the painting (previously posted on the blog) I created for the show, based on shot by one of the photographers who attended the dance rehearsals at Dog Town Dance Studio.

"Arabesque"
11x14, oil
sold

Check out this interview if you haven't already. Jessie kindly asked to show the painting during her interview on CBS 6.

Published: Robious Corridor Magazine

I was honored to discover a few of my paintings printed in last week's Robious Corridor Magazine.

There was also a fascinating article on Dene Kimball's carvings at Robious Landing Park.
I love what he is doing. I need to check these out in person.

Once again, the link,

Published: 2 paintings of Midlothian

It's always fun to see your own paintings in print. This week I had the honor of being featured in the Chesterfield Observer as well as a double page spread in the Chesterfield Monthly Magazine.

Fun!

My Framer is the Coolest

Today I stopped in to Collector's Gallery to pick up a few of my framed paintings (the two below and one that was immediately taken to Caturra and hung, Bright Morning):

After talking a bit David Humphrey puts this in my hands:

Um. how amazing and kind is that? He framed the article about my project to painting the town of Midlothian. We don't get the newspaper and I hadn't seen the printed form of the article yet. I thought it was only published online. Anyway. David Humphrey is great.

And here's one-to-grown-on, just because it cracks me up. What a pup. :)
